Tiffin School became an Academy School on 1 July 2011. This change in status was sought in order to further enrich the educational environment and opportunities that Tiffin School could offer to its students and all who work here. We are proud of what Tiffin School has achieved in its 134 year history since the first Tiffin School was founded on the Fairfield in Kingston in 1880. he ethos and aims of the School are to support the education of boys in a selective and high achieving environment. We do this through constantly working to sustain an outstanding quality in our teaching and learning. Our students should become confident independent learners who explore and develop all aspects of their characters and fulfil their potential.

There are  eleven secondary schools in the borough of Kingston upon Thames all providing education from 11 to 18 years. These are divided into nine academy schools, one community school and one free school.
