Herefordshire man pleads guilty to causing damage to car

Jamie Lock entered a guilty plea to one count of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000 when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in March.

The court heard from prosecutor Tom Wickstead that the 25-year-old had, without lawful excuse, damaged a car belonging to another person in Leominster on August 6 last year.

He was said to have intended to destroy or damage the car, or have been reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged.

Lock, represented by defence solicitor George Cousins in court, caused damage valued at £3088.80 to a VW Passat.
