News Shopper has contacted London Ambulance Service for more information.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.13pm today (19 October) to reports of a person hit by a train at West Croydon Rail Station, Croydon.

“We sent multiple resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a medic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and a clinical team manager.

“Our first medics arrived in less than two minutes.

“We treated a man at the scene for a head injury and took them to a major trauma centre.”

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to West Croydon station at around 2.15pm today, Thursday, following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

“Paramedics also attended and a person was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.

“The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”

A spokesperson for TfL said: “London Overground: No service between West Croydon and Sydenham while emergency services deal with a casualty on the track.

“Good service on the rest of the line.”
