The Bridge takeaway vows to feed homeless people daily

Kritsakorn Tangjaritsakul, who runs The Bridge Thai Street Food takeaway in Hereford’s Bridge Street marked six months since opening by inviting homeless people to eat for free between 5.30pm and 8pm last night (July 6).

He had been inspired to offer free noodles to homeless people by a regular customer, who has lost their home and job, and who he has previously given free food.

In an update today, Mr Tangjaritsakul said four homeless people had visited the takeaway to take up the offer, one of whom had not eaten for two days.

“I told him he could come here after 5.30pm every day to get free noodles,” Mr Tangjaritsakul said.

“I do not have a lot of money and I can’t give money to help, but I can give my Thai noodles.”

And Mr Tangjaritsakul said he will now be offering free noodles to Hereford’s homeless every day.

“I fully understand what’s going on now,” he said.

“Everybody is having a difficult time and everything is so expensive. That’s why I will help.”
