Resident left shocked after seeing racist graffiti in Kew

A Richmond resident has been left ‘shocked’ and ‘appalled’ after discovering anti-Semitic graffiti in Richmond.

Mark Adams posted pictures on Twitter, after he spotted graffiti on the tow path between Chiswick Bridge and Kew Bridge.

The graffiti reads ‘Hitler was right’ and ‘The holocaust was a lie,’ with the perpetrators also drawing swastika’s next to the sentences.

Mark Adams tweeted: “Shocked & appalled to find this anti-Semitic graffiti on the tow path between Chiswick Bridge & Kew Bridge. Can it be removed please?”

A Richmond Council Spokesperson said: “The Council was made aware earlier today (Friday, August 31) via social media of racist graffiti in the Kew area. We have reported it to the Police and Council officers will remove it shortly. Should members of the public see further graffiti of this nature, they are encouraged to report to the Police on 101 as soon as possible.”
