Named: more Herefordshire speeders caught breaking the limit

John Idris Watkins was proven guilty of one count of speeding by magistrates in Worcester.

The court heard that the 67-year-old had been caught breaking the limit while behind the wheel of a Volkswagen in a 30 miles per hour zone on the A44 Barons Cross Road in Leominster on January 8.

Watkins, of Llanyre, Llandrindod Wells, was fined £220 and received three penalty points. He must also pay prosecution costs of £90 and an £88 victim surcharge.

Isabelle Rose Smith entered a guilty plea to one count of speeding to magistrates in Worcester.

The court heard that the 18-year-old Peugeot driver had been caught speeding in a 40 miles per hour zone on the A4103 Fromes Hill in Herefordshire on February 4.

Smith, of Stoneleigh Close, Worcester, was fined £300 and disqualified from driving for 35 days from July 28. She was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £90 and a £120 victim surcharge.

Neil Walker entered a guilty plea to one count of speeding to magistrates in Worcester.

The court heard that the 53-year-old had been caught breaking the limit while behind the wheel of a Renault in a 30 miles per hour zone on the A40 at Weston Under Penyard in Herefordshire on January 7.

Walker, of St Paul’s Crescent, Coleshill, Birmingham, was fined £440 and received six penalty points. He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £90 and a £176 victim surcharge.
