Motorcyclist killed in Herefordshire crash

The A4112 at Kinnersley was subject to an emergency closure yesterday following the incident, with reports of a “serious” crash on the Herefordshire road.

West Midlands Ambulance Service have said they received calls from police and fire colleagues reporting a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a car on the A4112 in Kinnersley, Hereford at 11.05am yesterday (August 26).

The service have said that following the reports, two ambulances and a paramedic officer responded to the Herefordshire scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival ambulance staff found a motorcyclist, a man, who was in a critical condition being cared for by an off-duty doctor.

“Sadly, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed deceased on scene. No one else was injured in the collision”.

West Mercia Police have said that they’re appealing for witnesses following the incident on the A4112 in Herefordshire. A statement from the police force said:

“At around 11am yesterday (Sunday 26 August) a grey VW Passat and a red Honda CBR 650 motorbike collided on the A4112 near Kinnsersley in Herefordshire.

“The rider of the motorbike, a 20-year-old man, sadly died at the scene.

“We’d like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed or have dash-cam footage of the collision itself, or of either of the vehicles in the minutes before the collision”.
