The awards aim to recognise excellence each year with a number of hotels and restaurants across the UK being awarded the special AA prize.
The 2024 edition was hosted by TV presenter Angellica Bell at Grosvenor House in London with more than 900 guests.
The event highlighted the very best in British hospitality, honouring achievements across 16 award categories.
Key awards included AA Restaurant of the Year, AA Hotel of the Year, and the AA Sustainable Award, reflecting the industry’s commitment to innovation, quality, and environmental responsibility.
Among the winners were a few from London, including Chef of the Year, see the full list of London winners below.
Alongside the individual category winners, several restaurants and hotels in London were award rosettes and red stars.

The winner of Chef of the Year was Tom Aikens of Muse, praised for cooking at the highest level since the age of 26.
Tom has restaurants in four different countries, has published three cookery books, is a TV regular, and supports several charities.
Speaking of his win, Tom said: “There was such an amazing group of chefs up for this award. It’s truly incredible to have actually won it. It’s not just about me, it’s about the whole team. I’m absolutely thrilled, it’s fantastic.”
The Silver Birch in Chiswick won best restaurant for London, described as “showcasing the best of British, in both cooking style and ingredients”.

Meals at the Silver Birch include Devon smoked eel, pickled leek, chive, Pink Fir and Greyface Dartmoor lamb, anchovies, fresh peas, and mint.

The popular Dorchester won Hotel of the Year for London, self-described as “a hotel alive with a vibrant spirit and convivial soul. A hotel that captures the energy of London and matches its pace, stride for stride.”
