The Longtown pub, currently a long-established family-run business, is grade II listed and offers a wealth of character.

It is on the market with agents Sidney Philips (leasehold) for £30,000.

The pub offers a bar, restaurant and meeting room, and games room. 

It also has seven en-suite letting bedrooms, and an owners’ flat.


The agents said the pub currently has net takings of around £231,000 per annum and is a “sound commercial venture” with a “favourable free of tie lease”.

The pub says it focuses on using local produce and meats, some grown on the owner’s own land, or supplied by the local community, offering everything from bar snacks to full restaurant meals and Sunday lunches. 

It currently has a five-star “very good” food hygiene rating, and a four-star rating on reviews website Tripadvisor, with 86 of its 118 reviewers rating it as ‘very good’ or ‘excellent’.
