The road, which was closed for two full days at Yarkhill after the crash, has now reopened.
Emergency crews were called to the scene at around 1am on December 16, with an 18-year-old driver confirmed dead shortly after their arrival.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service added that two vehicles, a car and a lorry, had been on fire.

“Sadly, it quickly became clear the driver of the car could not be saved and was confirmed dead at the scene,” the ambulance service spokesperson said.
“The driver of the lorry, a man, was already out of the vehicle when crews arrived.
“He was treated for serious, but not life-threatening, injuries and conveyed to Hereford County Hospital.”
Explaining why the road was closed for so long, Herefordshire Council said: “Due to the severity of the incident, it was necessary for the road to remain closed whilst West Mercia Police completed their investigations and to allow for vehicles to be recovered and the road surface repaired.”
They added that council workers had been at the receiving end of abuse from frustrated drivers, and sent condolences to the family of the driver.
