Hereford sex attacker admits three sexual assaults

Mihaita Lemnaru entered guilty pleas to three counts of sexual assault on a female when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in January.

The court heard from prosecutor Paul John that Lemnaru had assaulted a woman aged 16 or over in Hereford, intentionally sexually touching her when she did not consent and when he did not reasonably believe she was consenting on two occasions on December 18, 2021.

The 36-year-old, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Chris Read, had also committed the same offence in Hereford on January 2, 2021, the court heard.

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentencing report to be carried out by the probation service and Lemnaru, of Hunderton Avenue, Hereford, was released on conditional bail.

He will appear before magistrates in Hereford for sentencing on February 13.
