Herefordshire Council said the C1122 in Wellington, from the A49 to Wellington Crossing, is closed due to flooding, with the emergency closure coming into force this afternoon (December 4).
The council said any diversion will be signposted locally, and added that delays will be likely in the area as a result of the closure.

According to the council, the road closed at 11.42am and is not expected to reopen until December 11.
The closure comes as a flood alert has been issued for the river Lugg south of Leominster today, with the Environment Agency saying low-lying roads and land are being hit by flooding.
Heavy rain is also expected for the weekend, with the Met Office issuing a yellow weather warning for wind and rain in Herefordshire to come into force on Friday (December 6).
