Fire crews called to pub after building blaze breaks out

Crews from Tenbury Wells and Leominster Fire Station were called to a building fire in a pub in Woofferton on Monday, (February 17) at 5.39pm.

The Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue crews were also supported by firefighters from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service from Ludlow.

Crews found that the fire was in a twin fryer in the pub kitchen and the building was heavily smoke-logged.

The incident was marked as pending closure at 6.24pm.

“Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – one each from Tenbury Wells and Leominster Fire Stations – supported by a Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Ludlow, were called at 5.39pm on February 17 to a building fire at a public house in Woofferton,” a spokesperson for the fire service said.

“The fire was in a twin fryer in the pub kitchen and the building was heavily smoke-logged.
