Beefy Boys and Alfie McDonald at Ross-on-Wye Christmas lights

Two-year-old Alfie McDonald switched on Ross-on-Wye’s Christmas lights today (November 26), as huge crowds filled the area around the marketplace and all the way down Broad Street.

Alfie was chosen to switch on the lights after his difficult journey following a seizure last March. He was born with a gene mutation and has been brave in his fight with health problems like hemiplegia and hypertonia.

Among the businesses was Hereford-based burger company Beefy Boys, which attracted massive queues all day.

The Beefy Boys food truck was parked behind the market house, serving its classic menu of burgers and fries.
